I love my town. Redlands is a great place to live. But my friends don't know what to do if they were to come and visit. So here's a guide. Completely biased and subjective, these are the things that I enjoy in my town.
Each item has its own map. There is a map at the bottom of the page that has all the locations on one map.
Let's start right down the street from my house. Olive Ave Market is fantastic. I recommend the blended Kona Mocha, a ton of specialty sodas and great sandwiches. They sell Wild Goose Coffee, which is roasted by my friend Nate. It is a spectacular bean and part of your purchase goes to charity.
Hanger 24 Brewery is a local business fast becoming a Southern Californian favorite. Their signature Orange Wheat is fantastic and uses local oranges. Unfortunately, they serve no food. But if you swing by Olive Market for a sandwich to go (they allow food brought in) you can eat and enjoy a full tasting flight.
Stell's coffee is my favorite roast in town. There are 3 different coffee roasters in Redlands and I buy from them all. But Robby Stell is my favorite roaster of them all. Free wi-fi and a great place to sit and relax. They also serve local brews including Hanger 24.
á la Minute Creamery is new to town and has become a favorite in no time. They have this amazing process where they make your ice cream fresh to order by mixing the liquid coffee base, flavors (orange/honey, balsamic strawberry, espresso chip and more) with liquid nitrogen right before your very eyes. Clouds of fog come boiling out of the KitchenAid's as they stir up astoundingly tasty treats. Not the cheapest, but worth every penny!
Eureka Burger is a brilliant gastro-pub. Pick a burger and you won't be sad. I love the Jalapeño Egg Burger. The Fig Marmalade is a fan favorite. Stick with their regular fries. Very tasty.
